Probably going to keep the engine, gearbox and transfer box, but the rest is up for grabs before i scrap whats left. It has insa Turbos, two are ok, two are knackered, not sure if its valves or what. Rust has eaten quite a bit of the chassis.

Picked it up yesterday, few issues with it, just niggles and stuff that can be sorted out over time. Even go my first defender wave on the way home!

    Disco vs Defender 300tdi

Thanks, it has an R380 box, so i assume that all is OK, and its just had a drop in replacement. My old disco has sat on the drive for probably 4 years and its not going anywhere so i may as well rebuild the engine into the defender and scrap whats left.

    LRO Show peterborough

Sounded awesome when he was giving it the beans in the arena. Camping was 75 quid (for LRO subscribers) for three people inc a car. There was loads of space and they weren't too fussed about pitch space so long as you were sensible. Apart from the Cnut in the next tent having an argument...

    LRO Show peterborough

LZ should definately have a stand, although looking at some of the club stands, they are all doing interesting stuff with their displays, so some real originality is required!

Thanks for a great LRO Show at Peterborough

They trialled a night show after most of the crowd left - for the campers and exhibitors, was amazing, winch course in the dark, and a camel / G4 tribute under spotlights. Hopefully it will be a regular thing, as it was good. Much bigger show than it has been over the last few years, with a lot...

I'm here, sadly not in the landy - so I'm the Audi A4 in the middle of a bunch of series IIIs, but the potential bad weather doesn't look to have put many people off.

    bloody insurance idiots

Not just car insurance they do this on, my house insurance was due in February, had been with the aa, cost around 250 a year for buildings and contents. Renewal came through, 360 quid. I immediately called them and they said that was the best they could do. So I had a search and found the same...

Ideas for a smart but long lasting load area?

There was an article about this stuff in LRO, along with the guy who is the UK distributor. He had his 110 load area covered in it and it looked smart.
