    P38A Sat Nav Question

On the quest to achieve a complete resolution, almost pointless in a LR I know! But since installing the mk3 unit for the first time in 2 years my P38 has finally opened up and started talking to me. The sat nav voice is a welcome change from the regular beep beep beep Fk&£ beep of this that and...

P38A Dunlop Airbag- Fubar'd or save able?

Ordered a single bag to replace it so will attempt to repair this one and keep in case of emergency! Failing that I could use it as a contraceptive if I can heat it up and stretch it out long enough

    P38A Sat Nav Question

Well I had a fiddle with it this morning whilst sat in traffic en route to the daily grind and manually selected vehicle position, it thought about it for a second and then found itself! Worked fine after that, amazingly!

    P38A Sat Nav Question

This is exactly what I've done but it doesn't find a signal still. Also tried holding the menu button down for 10 seconds and longer doesn't seem to work on mine :/ I may just go back to a mk2 unit although I'd read the mk3 doesn't suffer the issue of killing itself if the vehicles turned on...

P38A Dunlop Airbag- Fubar'd or save able?

I bought the bag as a set of four from island 4x4 in January. I did ask about a replacement but they send I would have to send it back and wait several weeks for testing which is obviously not practical so will not be shopping there in future. I have standard height shocks and fitted in the...

P38A Dunlop Airbag- Fubar'd or save able?

How do chaps, Weird thing happened the other day when rolling of the driveway in reverse I heard a Big Bang and one corner was on the bump stops! Very weird I thought maybe the pipe had burst or something. Anyway on closer inspection the bag had somehow ripped the plastic top out of the rubber...

    P38A Sat Nav Question

Well my stock loom doesn't feed the antenna into the sat nav unit. As the OEM sat nav unit only has the two electrical connections whereas this new mk3 unit has the same electrical connections but also an aerial connection. Let me know how you get on pal ;)

    P38A Sat Nav Question

Hello to all just a question about the fun and games with the P38 sat nav. I had a original, what I would call mk2 p38 sat nav that worked for almost 4 months before the white screen of death. I then bought a second hand replacement mk2 unit that lasted almost a year, but too many short...

I will get a new bag ordered, not from island 4x4 however had no further response despite them selling a faulty product!! Didn't use the car over the weekend, came out to start it this morning and the battery was flat and a new warning message saying gearbox fault flashed up. Will the...

P38A Best AirBags - About to ditch the Coils

Well its been a little over a week and zero warnings or dash beeping :) The ride is still amazing was worth all the hassle!! You really notice the difference at speed when in highway mode, a lot more stable. One of the bags wont hold air unfortunately, not a problem yet as using it everyday so...

P38A Best AirBags - About to ditch the Coils

Ah right, no dash message but it was making an awful ticking noise from the front wheel on the same said as the locked rear wheel. Sounded like when you get a small branch stuck around your axle when it was spinning up

P38A Best AirBags - About to ditch the Coils

Yeah I couldn't figure out what was going on when I got stuck in my P38, not use to electronic traction control always had diff locks before. It was strange as one of the back wheels was locked up and the other was spinning. I must admit not done much serious off roading in it due to the coils...

P38A Best AirBags - About to ditch the Coils

Maybe you should go easy on the loud pedal  I've not had great experiences off roading the P38, compared to my classics, mainly due to the coils and also having nexen rodian tyres fitted which do the job on the road but aren't designed for the soft stuff From what I've read it's not...

P38A Best AirBags - About to ditch the Coils

Well I couldn't wait till the weekend so took today of work. Plugged in the front height sensors, cleared the fault codes, no new ones read. Very excited to fire up with the door open to pressurise the system. Then discovered that the compressor wouldn't run!! I had tested it after the rebuild...
