    The PScan is the best tool for the F1 - it’s developed by Philip, who is on here, and can connect to most of the emu’s. Far better than the ‘generic’ ones. A lot of us use it. http://pscan.uk/features/freelander1.html If you look on YouTube, you can back-probe the camshaft sensor to test it...

    Freelander TD4 Mk1 Rear Diff - Does anyone have any advice on how to replace the rear diff?

    If you use the search button, look up RAVE on the forum. Download it to an old pc - it’s the LR manual😉 Are you certain you need to replace the diff?

    Have you tried the camshaft position sensor? This can prevent firing. You really need a code reader - or ideally a diag tool that can read the live data. Or someone who has one 😉 Where are you based?

    In all seriousness, we have a cordless Dyson animal thing to whip round quick - good with the dog hair for a quick clean. But then have a Sebo plug-in upright which really gets everything. Big and heavy, but proper job. They use them for cleaning in the hotel and airline industry apparently...
