your thoughts on 2" lift on discovery 300tdi

With a double Cardon prop, there’s really no need. Just open yourself up to major **** if one of your modifications causes you to crash

    What is this part?

I removed all the ace off mine, do it carefully and you might be able to sell some of the decent bits

Disco 2 other td5.... banging and awful injector trims

Yep James was right it was the seals. Runs like a peach now. It’s had seals done before from the look of it, well it has done 212k so not unreasonable. However, found one of the seats to the injector clamps has been damaged, so I’ve cleaned that up, also noted some quite nasty looking...

You can get castor corrected swivels which will do the same thing. Much less work! Off the shelf, I think around £200 ish

They will lower themselves a smidge (25mm I think) when you lock it, for access purposes, was it the solenoid opening and releasing air?

    Disco 2 Eas fixed

when we bought the wife’s disco 2, some bell bed had put it in coils, so I reinstalled the air bags. The compressor block had been left in. Never could get the rh one to inflate, after trying everything I figured the valve block must be wrong, so I purchased another, put that in, refitted all...

Ah now after reading somebody more posts about cranking speeds showing up on the nanocom, I’m only getting 239 - 240 rpm when cranking. Crank position sensor then? I ordered one yesterday anyway so worth a try. Cranks over very well though.

Disco 2 Bio diesel in TD5.

Should be ok, , post 2000 ish vehicles had to be safe to run with bio fuels as part of eu regulations. Even though the manufacturers all say not too

Disco 2 Bio diesel in TD5.

I’ve not heard of one being successful, even with pukka twin tank conversions. I wouldn’t try it It’s not hard to make good bio, worth it, and you can run it in any diesel then

Disco 2 Bio diesel in TD5.

Pukka bio can be run in anything. No need to wean etc The only thing you might find is it will clog your fuel filter but only because it cleans all the **** out of the system. After that it’s all good. Are you making it or buying it? Make sure to test it’s to specification

Ok, Changed the pipe, no better Put a new filter head on it! Now we have high pressure fuel Next..... still won’t start, checked the injector coding. It was wrong. (Looks like the mechanic trader has been dicking about with them?) reprogrammed them with the nanocom and it’s almost starting...

Yeah , I’m thinking the hp pump is dragging air in through it. the hp outlet from the pump was very poor. Just sourcing a new set now Fingers crossed that’s it! At least I’ll have serviced pretty much everything! Haha

Right, checked the fuel lines and the blue lip line has been bodged with a pneumatic fitting in some attempt to repair the pipe. A gentle pull and the pipe split apart. Very gentle pull. Re assembling it, it won’t grip the pipe at all. Looks like it could be the problem!!!
