I think i'd put my money on a propshaft as they soon start to vibrate as you take power. I've got a dodgy UJ on my TD5 110 front prop and taking power sure makes the whole thing wobble.

The threads are totally useless and people over tighten them or cross thread them. No doubt yours has been glued in due the horrendous oil leak if the top isn't sealed tight. Best to remove the whole unit and inspect it.

I doubt i'll get through that much to make per month viable. I think the £60 deposit and pay to refill seems the way to go.

So you rent the bottle per year and then also pay every time it needs filling up i assume?

That's how we did it too. But without bottles to begin with it's a tad hard.

I was expecting it to be alot harder than that. I don't know anywhere around Coventry who does the bottles except maybe BOC.

So the story goes that quite a few years ago my father gave away our gas bottles and gas welding gear. But now i find i'm increasingly in need of it. I get that things have changed since and i'm sure there is certificates and licences and red tape galore to be able to hold such equipment...
