Thanks LR the oil thats come out of the cv looks like dirty engine/gearbox oil ,same thickness,just wondering if its possible that oil could get into the cv joint from the ird box and with having an airtight boot on the oil would remain in there!

a little stuck on this and just looking for any sound advice the rubber gater on the front cv joint ,just infront of thr ird on the prop has failed,but what i can't understand is that i have lost some oil,about a 1/4 of a pint,is this normal lube oil in the cv or is there somthin more sinister...

Hi jonno,yep i had this and it drove me mad,infact its happend twice to me,firt time,under load about 40mph vibration transmittig down prop,prop bearings were at fault,had tham replaced at £180.00 inc labour,car fine,2nd time,vibration again at 40mph,fault loose platic trim,garage cost...

Just mailed sidesteps uk,they may be able to help,fingers crossed

ok where do i start Bought an A Bar off ebay,unfortunatly no fixing brackets included,local land rover dealer not very interested and can't help (probably cause i didn't get the bar from them) have any of you fitted one of these using your own collection of bolts etc,if so or any ideas regards...

1000 miles done,so the job was done approx 4 to 6 wks ago,have you been back for the filter,if not i would be suprised if they admit they still have it or infact admit any liability what so ever,as for damage if you have none now you should be fine,but get a box on asap

ok fitted new rear shoes in today,will these take time to bed in,the drum gets warm but not hot,also i hve lost a lot of tension on the handbrake,is this normal after this kind of job? cheers, mark

must admit that nudge bar looks good,def do the same with mine. my freelander is black so the spotlight surround would match,an idea for yours,they would look well finished in your colour
