Damper fitted! Rammed through all the potholes and bumps that caused the wobble at 60mph insead of 45 and... problem solved! steering is miles better as well.

Seriously, My wing tops have been stood (jumped) on in the past and the sills looked tatty. Chequerplate tranformed the look and took about 20mins to fit.

Pretty bits of metal! On my wing tops it hides the fact someone has stood on them & dented them trying to reach the top shelf, and on the sills it hides the blistered paint! Go for it!

Tomorrows' job is to buy and fit a damper! as for the girl bit - two weeks ago i might have agreed with you, but I now have muscles like Arnold Schwarzenegger trying to keep the b*stard thing on the road!

With regard to my posts at the end of the 'LR 90 wheel wobble' thread, about me getting manic steering wobble if I hit a bump or pothole etc at 45mph+. I have had a look and everything seems ok except for the steering damper which is missing! Presumably this would allow the wobble to happen but...

Does'nt feel like steering it feels more like feed back from the wheels/axle. But not really sure. I plan to get underneath at the weekend. Will report back if I find anything.

Which is why I need sound advice from them that know! Think I will give it a miss. I fancy a series III lightweight. What will one set me back? - with MOT so I can play straight away!

Does 'Wheel wobble' mean a severe shaking of the steering wheel (like mega unbalanced wheels) - cos mine does the same if it encounters a pot hole or sudden bump in the road at 45mph+. S**t myself when it first happened! If I slow right down it stops and is ok again.
