    Chequer plate

Griff, your chequer plate looks like its been painted by a primary school kid. I think the previuos owner must have had Parkisons.

    Griff Dawgs rear! Oh er

Mate, the split wiper is about the extent of my problems - unlike yours! That all happen to you Griff, the little green monster cant take any more damage can it?

    Chequer plate

Black chequer plate is your friend. Looks better and lasts better to boot. Still not sure if it does much though? But I like looking at it on my wings when I get in the cab.

    Griff Dawgs rear! Oh er

Some of the lanes south of Salisbury are getting abit tight! God knows what they wil be like come summer time. This was just before Griff went down to 1 bolt holding his driver side turret on. [/img]

    Are Devon/Somerset peeps Tightwads?

Cheers gareth- you never miss a chance to stick the boot into the 110 : ) And for the record, your stickers do look better- but more expensive. J

    Offroad tyres

Large off road re-moulds have a reputation for being somewhat unpredictable on road, the Insa Turbo's especially. Basically, as with everthing in life, you get what you pay for. Spending more on some mud terrains will mean they have better on and off road performance. Even if you want some...

    Defender door locks

As I used the term about 3 posts ago in the same topic probably not. Just making the point that ebay is not the root of all evil. And for a good old bit of emperical proof- I bought locks of ebay 6 months ago, and last time I checked the landy is still on drive.

    Defender door locks

Daily Mail reader are we? If someone wants to knick my landy they will. I'm not going to sit barricaded into my house, cradling my shotgun living in fear that everyone I transact with on the internet/ under 18 years old/ looks dodgy is going to come round stick a knife in me and rob me blind...

    Defender door locks

You can buy a lock set of e-gay for about £25 for 5. I got some for my def' and they seem decent. I can't open them with my fingernails anyway!

    1989 110 Csw

Not sure if chequer plating the cab would be a good idea, its going to be noisy as hell in there. Might be best off using some thick carpet like you suggested, would offer better noise attenuation. Quite a few companies make chequer plate kits for the rear load spaces- check out rebel4x4...

    90 Dilema

Your not going to get much better for £300, so it might be worth a punt. And if your confident you can do the work yourself (and have a friendly welder) then you might be able to make a profit. Maybe try draining the tank of the fuel oil (!) and get some RedeX in there with some quality...

    90 Dilema

Thats the rear cross member. Its integral to the chassis so its abit of work to cut it out and re-weld a new one. But if you've got a mate who's a welder and a new one sat in a shed then its not going to cost you much- apart from hours of sweat and toil that it : )

    110 lift kit

Heard that it can be abit of a fools errand trying to rid a lifted 110 of the overrun rumble. When I bought my lift kit from Devon 4x4 they pointed out that they hadnt bothered to do any mods to the bushes/prop on their 110 Crew Cab project vehicle. That was pre 33'' MT's griff my boy :D...

    110 rear windows

Foley Specialist Vehicles make and supply solid rear panels for 110 CSW's. I asked them how much they were a while ago and I think they were around £200. Thought that was a bit steep so its probably cheaper to make some from 90 sides from e gay.

    110 lift kit

No such thing as a cheap way to lift a 110, as Mad Hat Man points out, if you run your 110 loaded, spring lifters will ruin the handling as the progressive springs will be loaded incorretly. Have splash out im afraid, Devon 4x4- Old Man Emu - job done. And for anyone who thinks a 110 cant...

TYRE SIZES FOR MY 90.... help.....

My 12.5's dont rub at on the radius arms even at full lock. TomE-maybe check your bump stops if your 10.5's are rubbing? Arches are a nightmare, £120 odd quid a set and they are ugly as ****. I havnt bothered but you will get proper muddy without them. My 110 was literally brown from...

TYRE SIZES FOR MY 90.... help.....

Should do, you can also adjust your bump stops. Its only at full lock anyway, so really only a problem parking and around town. Off road you will be going too slowly at full lock to notice. Spacers will also help your soon to be appaling turning circle, my 110 on 33's is now officially an...

TYRE SIZES FOR MY 90.... help.....

35's are going to be okay on your body work if you are lifted but here a few things to think about: - They will hit your radius arms at full lock on the front - Your gearing is going to be raised, motorway work is impaired, I lost 10mph off the top in fifth with a 200TDi. -alot more strain on...

    Turning in Circles

Smaller wheels do help a little Just changed my 235/85 R16's for some Khumo 33/12.5 inch monsters and I am now struggling to get the 110 down my drive (round a corner). Spacers help but they are expensive and most insurance companies dont like them very much. Just live with it.
