I'm proud of my little landy.

I guess no one believes me still. :P I heard today that after I left that night they got the Dodge stuck again and ended up ripping the front bumper off of it. Luls.

    Friggin' saltwater...

It came from the San Antonio, TX area which is pretty dry. I doubt it was resprayed as I can still see patches of what appears an antitrust coating(from the factory?) and it wasn't shiny.

    Friggin' saltwater...

This old disco had almost no visible rust about 10 months ago when I got it... Well I live right on the bay and I got it in some saltwater off-roading like an idiot a couple times. That with the unavoidable exposure to salt from living here, and now look at it: (ImageShack Slideshow)Land...

The original Land Rovers were a copy of the Willys Jeep.

I'm proud of my little landy.

Why? We got a front wheel drive car back there.

I'm proud of my little landy.

The f-150 I pulled out looked more like this: As far as the Ford Raptors go, they are far too common here. I see 3 or 4 everyday.

I'm proud of my little landy.

I exaggerated a little in the OP about the Ford, and corrected myself in a later post. The base of his tail lights were touching the water. Later I hit the same ditch he got stuck in and got through it, with some difficulty. I haven't been able to get a new set of tires for it. It still has the...

I'm not actually mad, I'm just making you think I am. ;)

I'm proud of my little landy.

How do you know? You've never scene me. ... I don't see how its that hard to believe... Its not like I'm saying I pulled a truck out that was buried up to its windows. These trucks weren't dug in deep(the second time the Dodge buried the front pretty deep, but he still had his rear wheels on...

@above: What? After he got jerked he managed to get enough traction to start moving. Actually, now, I remember posting another thread with a similar result of "Pics or you're lieing". Is Europe full of liars or is it just this forum? Luls Note to self: Document -everything- with pictures if I...

I'm proud of my little landy.

No. I have no sense of humor what so ever. None. I may have put a little bit too much faith in the people whom hooked the snatch strap to my hitch. Well, hell it worked, so maybe I didn't. I wasn't too terribly concerned with their vehicles. Mind you this was at night and off-roading was not...

I don't enjoy being called a liar... How do you expect me to take pictures while behind the wheel?

I'm proud of my little landy.

My little Disco I proved itself last weekend. Yanked out a Ford f-150 buried down to its tail lights and pulled out a lifted, 4x4, 8,000lb Dodge Ram 2500 out twice. It accomplished that with street tires sitting on wet, slimy mud. I'm the only one to not get stuck that night.

    steering,ignition lock stuck !

Mine has the same issue. I usually have to fiddle with it for a few minutes to get it to turn. Damn thing nearly stranded me on a ferry once.

    Show us yer shed...?

... Well... I could get a picture of the building and tractor.... But, for now... the building pallet looks like this(right half of pic): The tractor is one of these: Branson Tractors - 4720i With one of these hanging off the back of it: Branson Tractors - B8620

    Show us yer shed...?

Got the 5300lb building off the trailer today with a tractor rated to lift 1500lbs. Did it in too halves. The heaviest of which weighed 2800lbs. That was a bit of an ordeal. Now just have to get the rebar bought and concrete poured then its ready to be erected.
  18. Oh Deer

    Show us yer shed...?

Its a US Buildings 35' by 36' steel building. Unfortunately it is currently stacked on a trailer in the back yard. When its finished it'll look similar to this: Kind of ugly aint it?

    Defender Prices. O_o

Its just 12 MPG from a 4.0L engine is kind of pathetic.

It'd be nice to have some diesel land rovers over here, so that I'm not left wondering how in the hell to fit a 4BT Cummins in my Discovery. :P
