    Tyre Question

Thank you Dent, the repair is just so it can get to the garage for a new tyre. If the repair is ok, is alright to use that one as the spare? The spare he came with is a different size to the tyres on the car.

    Tyre Question

Thank you Paul. I've done normal tyres with tyreweld stuff, but not one on a 4x4... Worth a go! I haven't seen the tyre as the Land Rover is stuck in the work car park, so will have to get the fella to see if can identify where the hole is. I think I will get another mud tyre and use the...

    Tyre Question

:)Hallo Got a puncture yesterday... My series III is fitted with mud tyres (BF Goodrich LT235 85 R 15) and I am not sure whether to get another one to replace the punctured one (the spare is a completely different tyre and only good for an emergency) or whether to get a cheap set of all...

    What's Your Land Rover Called?

Just reading Lenny the Landy's introduction thread and wondered who else has named theirs and why you chose that name? Mine is called Old Blue - not my name, it came with it and it's blue! My truck was called Darlene - had to have an American name for her. :)

My first landrover - What should I know?

Good luck Misterfox! Looking forward to seeing some more photos when you have collected her. I am in the same boat as you, learning as I go. Expect bits to drop off, especially if it's not had much use! I also have one from 1972.

    Question regarding paint my defender.

If you do decide to paint it, this thread might be helpful: http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f7/paint-job-28140.html The vehicle painting pointers link within it is great, and what I have been referring to (a lot!)

    1973 Series III

^ It's ok we can wash ourselves fine, and we don't have oil or filters to change. Undies yes, but again we are usually quite adept at managing :D Ta for the info, always good to get a few opinions. I found another thread on here about additives which was quite a long (inconclusive) one with...

    1973 Series III

^ Great stuff, thank you. The fella has just gone and put £50 in it arrrgh - and it usually only gets a tenner. To be on safe side rather than mucking about with siphons and jerry cans, I'll wait to run it down again and then give a good old clean out. I am in touch with the previous owner so I...

Advice needed on buying older LR

Good luck with the sale of the V8 and your quest for a series 2/3. Why are u selling the V8?!! I had a V8 5L LHD Bronco which I sorely miss even though now have my series 3... Anyway, this link might be helpful in respect of series 3s, but possibly a bit basic for you; there are bits on there...

    1973 Series III

Brush painting most of it, but some of the smaller parts I'll spray. I think it is the fuel filter that's the problem... the gas was allowed to get very low and a lot of crud has probably come up. Going to get a new filter today and probably also worth sticking some Redex in. I also read...
