    Faded Front Grill

I use a dye called forever black on mine, gotta say it works really well. You apply it with a sponge and it only works on porous plastics, also looks crappy after first one or two coats...but really finishes nice after several coats and it doesn't wash off either. Before and after pics! :)...

    fitting bump stops

How did you get the original ones off? Was gonna swap mine out at some point, had a quick look and couldn't see easily how they're attached...awesomely useful rave directions "remove bumpstops". Do they just pop off?

Cheers for the link doug, will pull the hub off and replace the seal...The bearing isn't noisy so hopefully it won't need replacing!

    Rave directions please folks

Hi folks, Thought I had a leaking caliper but after changing the rear diff oil I noticed a nice puddle under the wheel, guessing it's the half shaft oil seal? Might be being dense but I can't find any section in rave for the hub assembly only the diff assembly, anyone tell me if there is a...

advice on 3.9 v8 EFI please, poss head gasket?

Coolant pressure is normal as far as I know, but the pressure should drop as the engine cools...if it's still pressurised after cooling it's probably worth getting it tested for combustion gases in the coolant.

    overheating - thermostat

Probably not being much help here, and I know you said you tried bleeding at an angle but not which direction...but one thing I did was have the car facing uphill on a pretty steep incline so the top of the rad is higher than the top hose, seemed to me if there was any air in the system the only...

    overheating - thermostat

Have read a few times about people drilling holes around the stat to ensure waterflow, didn't like the sound of it myself though.

    overheating - thermostat

Hey Rudy, changed the stat on mine a while ago, bled the system pretty good but wanted to see the stat working before I went out for a spin...took maybe 10-15 mins sitting on idle to open up, so it does need to get pretty well cooked!

lpg on the cards, what jobs to do at the same time?

Had a look at the camshaft yesterday, pretty worn as expected but not too bad. I Knew at that mileage and engine rebuild/replacement was gonna be needed at some point, was hopin to get some more mileage out of it yet though as it's been pretty well serviced.

lpg on the cards, what jobs to do at the same time?

Thanks for the input guys, much appreciated. More than happy to leave it alone if it's not recommended to change, just thought since I was gonna be more than halfway there it's not much further to go gettin the heads off. No HGF signs I can see; coolant level always the same, oil is clean, no...

lpg on the cards, what jobs to do at the same time?

hi folks, Looking at getting an LPG conversion kit for my GEMS V8, just hoping to get some input on maintenance jobs to do at the same time. Since I'll be removing the inlet manifold I thought it's probably not a stretch to take the heads off and replace the gaskets so bought a head gasket kit...

    water under floor mat

Mine was leaking from the top windscreen seal, in heavy rain you could see it running down the inside of the screen. Took the upper finisher off and put a good bead of silicone across the top, no more leak. There are two sunroof drains, make sure you check both sides.

    Aftermarket audio

Was lookin at doing this myself a while ago, have put it on the backburner for now though. If you have the HK system with the individual door amps the following links might be helpful: Range Rover P38 Radio Harmon Kardon | Nexxia UK You'll need a headunit with two pre-outs and a sub out...
