Hi it's not the weight it was fine when we towed it before and was fine half way down to cornwall till we stopped at services then it started, I've had a fault reader on it and shows no faults also no splits in any turbo pipes the one that is taped up is just for protection from rubbing the bolt...

will check this pipe properly it has black tape around it and feels like its holding a strip of rubber under it so hoping this is the cause,when it first happened it was that bad it felt like the gear box mounts had gone as it was shaking side to side!

cheers,no brakes not sticking on lol its ok when not accelerating or say going down hill with foot off peddle,just does it say over 50mph and over 2000rpm thats when it kicks black smoke out too

cheers for the reply is the pipe near the radiator drivers side? on top as this as been bodged with tape! not realy got to know under bonet of this as wife only had it a few week and im more used to my discovery!

cheers,would that cause the shaking? it was bad like the gearbox shaking side to side, everthings fine when not towing

hi all just come back from a holiday in cornwall and had problems when towing the caravan with my wifes freelander 04 hse td4 it was ok halfway down till the first stop then after that it was shaking/juddering quite bad like gearbox was shaking side to side we got there ok when not towing...

They look like body mounts to me, n I don't think there should be a gap that's prob why it's a bumpy ride!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sorry for late reply,Yeah it's sorted now, I was putting a new aerial in so had to move fuse board to one side and the silver solenoid (u can't miss it on fuse board it quite big)caught on bare metal and sparked! Didn't think much of it until I came to lock it and the central locking didn't work...

Hi I had same prob,if u look at fuse box there is a silver cylinder shaped selanoid type thing(not got a clue wot its called!)I replaced that with one from scrapyard and replaced the blown fuse and it worked fine after :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

yep the more stuff u remove the more rust u find and the more u cry....!

id leave them on as they stop mud n stuff going up in between inner and outer body shell/panel and make it harder to clean out n will lead to rust on inner body n u dont want that! ;-)

Could be owt with disco door locks!! Think they was built to do your head in! Lol mines still a mystery !!

Could be actuator or spring u need to get door card off n have a look

Haven't got a clue with my drivers door! Lol my boot door lock was starting to play up other week had to really pull on handle for it to click open so took card off to have a look n It was a plastic part that had come off its pin so just needed clicking back on,works bang on now.. N no money spent!
