sorry should have been more specific the brakes dont stop the vehicle the harder i pump the brakes the less efficent they become

hi fellas new to the landy game and brakes i have a 110 defender if i pump the brakes the pedal gets harder and the brakes slip but if i use them normally its ok . oh yeh they also pull to the right a bit too much.can anyone help please .worried :(

evening chaps new to the landy game got a prob wiv me brakes if i pump em when i come to a stop the pedal gets harder and harder to push but the brakes grip less if i just use the brakes normally there ok have igot a problem or is ok.
