I got asked this at the end of another post so... This is my first Landy i picked it up about 3 months ago but i'm un sure what i have because Defenders only started in 1983 but yet mine is a 1976? is it a Defender body on a series chassis?? My uncail builds these thing and was all Ireland off...

Nice one,the chucking has only started in the last day and its fairly bad at times..there was always a bit but i noticed the landy started vibrating a good bit more with a heave cycle of vibrations in kind of 1 sec bursts coming from the back section then the nest day the heavy chucking started

legend,at least i wont be stranded! any thing i can do with it? But as far as the chucking goes you think its UJ's? Cheers Slob

ohh and the whistle is only when i accelorate ie. when stoped nothing but when im speeding up its always there but when i take the foot off it stops

Cheers POS The engine is a 300TDI now i did replace the fan belt and water pump 2 weeks ago which solved my squeeking when i was turning at a slow speed so i dont think its that but when i think about it that squeeking is back.. I replaced the water pump and the fan belt as water was shooting...

Right,I'm on my first landy i can do all the body work in the world on my own but when it comes to looking under it im lost but im learning... Now,i was driving along yesterday and after i stoped at the lights i noticed a whistling from the engine when i press the accelorator that sounds...

I was driving my Landy to work and about half way there when i push down an the accelerator i hear a whistling noise coming from the engine and when i brake there is a very small chucking when im almost stoped..any ideas??

where can i download the parts cat,google cant help me..maybe i'm just not looking very well?
