My HG went the other week and it just went, no signs. I can't make any suggestions but hammer the warranty company, a letter from a solicitor my do the job.

Check out my question here on page 2. I also have the same central locking problem, it started about 2 weeks ago. I haven't had chance to fit a new solinoid as its been with the steelers to fit a new head gasket at 34000 miles. Let me know if you fix it...

Thanks for the info Treev, but I think thats too big a job to take on. It's a real shame we love the freelander but this head gasket thing is a nightmare. We can't afford to get it fixed every 40K!!!:eek:
