Freelander Fan Jr

Hello ! Freelander fans out there. I'm a new comer. Wanna get some infos from you all regarding Freelander. As a beginner I know nothin' about 4wd, hope that "da fans" can guide me up on how should I take a precautious and what to look at before I buy my first Freelander.

Seriously mate get an X plate onwards if you can afford it on a diesel.In my opinion you can't beat these BMW M47 Engines.Fantastic

Yes i will say the same TD4 BMW engine and you wont go far wrong. . . Ming

KV6 if you don't want to loose your acceleration and don't do many miles.

check out http://www.freelanderheadgasket.co.uk/ it should give you some guidance on which model to go for. Make sure the central locking works aswell. Thats my experince of freelanders.

For god's sake don't buy a 1.8 petrol....

Just got mine back from the dealer after having the HG replaced at 34K costing £600 + the dealer has written a list of all the other faults with the car, so it's not just a 1.8 thing. My new advice is to read the forum and if you are still thinking of getting one read it again and if that doesn't help - good luck.
By the way the forum is great for helping solving and and sharing problems for unfortunate owners.
