Ye they work, you gotta soften the dash with a heat gun or hair dryer to flatten it down then screw it down, its a head wrecker of a simple job because its near impossible to get a drill in there

Fixed me dash peel, was a pain in the arse for what should have been an easy fix, still looks a bit crap but il make it tidyer when my temper calms down a bit.

I have exactly the same problem, (and im in no way a mechanic) had no signs of problems until when I had to go to work thismorning, tried to start the car but all I could hear was a slight click.

Unless My disco1 is a cleverly discuised fiat punto - the badge and minor faults assures me shes a landrover. She does everyrhing I ask of her like a tank without any problems, until ofcourse something goes with a bang which really assures me its a landy :D

Just an update if anyones botherd, Steering box replaced but the so called mechanic chopped off the alarm/imobiliser instead of waiting til I gave him the reset code. Thats an extra 200 euro for that privalige anyways. 1000 euro in total :( then to be told to "F off your not gettn your car"...
