What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

The new earth cable arrived in the post today from Devon 4x4. It was a large and quite heavy parcel for a small item, but this was due to the large catalogue that they posted with the cable! I fitted it but the chassis earth didn’t have any identifiable earth point to fix it to so that’s another job. My back is in bits though, all the crawling on the floor and the getting up and down has caused me no end of grief! If I ever win the lottery, a large garage with a four post lift is on the cards… :D  Until then, I’m shuffling around the house in pain.

Pics please! It’s the rules!😁

Finally sorted out the heavy steering issue. The Landy has been almost undriveable the past couple of weeks, I was worried that the PAS pump or box was on the way out. Thankfully, turned out to be a seized lower steering uj! It would move freely on one axis, but was just about completely immovable on the other!
Also made a temporary bodge to the massive hole on in the exhaust down pipe, the extra noise was fun for a week!
Also also, fitted a new trailer socket and plug, so no more funky disco lights…for now.

Left the 90 at the MoT station and got the call after lunch saying it had passed with no advisories - very happy.
All my hard work at the weekend sorting the wipers and lights paid off.

The garage also advised me that I was losing coolant from the expansion tank, so that's a job for the weekend.

Went to go out this morning & Motobike failed to run…
Get in the landrover & as normal starts up & runs like a dream. 30 miles down the motoway and cruises well.
Sat on a course all day, then 30miles back home.
Gaffer taped a few holes up in the bulkhead behind the matting
Slowly making a list of urgent jobs to do for may.

The 90 is getting the starter changed over this week. And I’ll add another earth from engine to chassis to help with starting.

New starter fitted. As expected, it didn’t go without issue as it is a landy! One of the turbo studs sheared, needing drilling and tapping. The mechanic said a few choice words, which I won’t repeat! And a couple of extra earths were added. But what a difference! It starts immediately on the button! 😁😁
