Or drive into a mechanic and just ask if they can take off and tell you. Probably be able to buy from them right there. Personally I buy mixed packs of O rings and match up what I need, which is same as I'm saying about going to a mechanic

Do you know the sizes or part numbers? I can only find them as part of a full seal kit!

The reason for asking to confirm is this picture on the seal kit page (same website LINK) shows things on both that I dont seem to have on my pump and that the o-ring is the same part which is not the case on the pic above.

I think that is a 300tdi VE pump.
O rings possibly the sme.

@dag019

Nothing will fall out. There is just the o ring
Make sure the bolts are tight. Mine came loose & pushed the o ring out a bit
Don’t have the size,I had a spare pump & just swapped the seal over

Many thanks. My plan was to call them in the morning and see if I can get quick delivery etc and confirm it’s the correct part.

I was also going to have a google and dee if there are any diesel pump specialist near me or atherstone (work) to try and pick one up tomorrow.

Many thanks for confirming. My spare pump is currently attached to the engine that was on fire awaiting a rebuild!

Picked up the o-ring needed today form a local diesel specialist, proper old fashioned Aladdin's cave of a workshop in an industrial unit with injections pumps everywhere!

On that note he quoted me £540 to rebuild a 200tdi injection pump (the one off my fire damaged engine if it makes a difference) does anyone know if that is a reasonable price or not?

Had mine done at Diesel Bobs last year, £400 inc vat.

That's at the top end of the price scale.
Diesel Bob charges depend on what's wrong with it, ours was not far off that price.

That price is inc vat just for clarity. But I am not sure what will be wrong with it, it was fully working, and was then in an engine. the local place didn't seem bothered by that and just aid they are the flat rate.
