Hello me again

I have an issue with battery usage.
I don’t use my car much it can be stood for a week or more between uses so I got a solar powered trickle charger which I have plugged into the 12v socket all the time the car isn’t being used.
The problem is the trickle charger seems to be damaging my battery I’ve had to buy 2 new batteries in the past year at £180 each.
Is there anything I can fit or have fitted to keep my battery charged but not overcharged when not in use?

I used to make kits for solar charge controllers, but couldn't compete with the Chinese stuff, so I stopped selling them.

according to the manual for my solar trickle charger

its a 2.5w 12v panel plugged into the 12v socket in the centre console.
the garage that do my service said the battery was at 4% so i bought another one
just wondered if its the trickle charger damaging the battery or something else?
