Take the top of the dash off, and put an Audi heater matrix in... problem solved :)

If it's not sealing up properly, then it could be you have the same issue as I did, where the mating face in the plastic on the heater core itself has a small crack or chip in it, which is allowing it to leak out still.
Hi Marty - Im more familiar with Audis than the p38 Ive now got ...
Is there any particular model Audi to remove heater core from and what accessories - pipes etc do you reccommend taking too?
If you would
Many thanks
Mike

Easier to just replace the O rings unless the matrix leaks.
True dat. I think a new heater matrix is only for when your HAD ENOUGH of leaking O rings. It's two days to get it all apart and back together again I think. Mine hasn't leaked since, but my matrix was weaping along the bottom edge so no amount of replacement O rings would have cured that!

Mine was exactly the same. I used PaulP38.com as a guide. He gives a good write up with pictures

I'd have to look up the date, but my replacement O rings have lasted at least 12 years so far. That's jinxed it
