Those of you with the 300tdi VNT turbo from turbo technics, how much boost are you getting? I am only getting 17 psi peak. not sure if this is normal, or if i have a leak somewhere. Any assistance will be appreciated.
Do remember boost is a measure of resistance, not flow. Breathing mods and other things can reduce boost, but increase flow and power. Have you had it on a dyno to see what it is doing? Or what other mods do you have? Those of you with the 300tdi VNT turbo from turbo technics, how much boost are you getting? thanks, Thats what i expected to get on the boost gauge.Ive got one of there vnt’s on my 200tdi, they come factory set at 1.5 bar.
Are you taking the boost measurement by T-ing off the boost pipe to the fuel pump, as close as possible to the turbo. Your always going to loose some pressure due to pipe expansion and joints in the flow. I get around 1.4 bar on the boost gauge with foot to the floor booting it.thanks, Thats what i expected to get on the boost gauge.
Any exhaust mods? Thanks for the responses. I have a boost gauge and fourby twin inlet, other than that, its pretty standard. I did not dyno it or anything. Thinking of doing a smoke test to see if i have a slight leak somewhere. no whistling though, which often is a symptom of a boost leak.

What are standard tdi internals and the Bosch pump pairing good for John? Assume they’ll run 1.5 bar all day? We obviously have to keep Egt etc in check. Are you taking the boost measurement by T-ing off the boost pipe to the fuel pump, as close as possible to the turbo. That’s all above my pay grade lol. I believe factory set is 1 bar of boost. What are standard tdi internals and the Bosch pump pairing good for John? Assume they’ll run 1.5 bar all day? We obviously have to keep Egt etc in check.
