What have you done to your Freelander today

The air con regas process checks for leaks before it permits a regas. Don't want the halons in the atmosphere !!

So check compressor clutch is operating when you have engine running and press air con switch.

If not get the gas pressure rechecked as low pressure inhibits clutch.

Could also be an electrical or compressor fault.

Ya they couldn’t gas the boys Honda type R yesterday as it wasn’t holding pressure
That’s why I am surprised it’s gone off after working fine this morning
I will drop it off in the morning and see if it still as pressure
If it as I Will move from there
It’s definitely not clicking the clutch in as is

Thanks Max - that's very helpful... I had a look to see if it would pull off but it seemed pretty firm and as I wasn't sure which way it comes off I left it. The pic is useful on that too - knowing where the clips are and which way they point is v useful in getting them to pop out so cheers 🍻

It's a Landrover, if it's meant to come off it doesn't and if it's meant to sty put it falls off.

I'm thinking a couple of plastic bags filled with sand in each depression would be better
 
Anyone been able to find a suitable replacement for the roof netting? I’m waiting for the elastic as it did it’s last stretch along time ago but the netting will still be sagging. Cheers, M.

Some originals on flea bay, but expensive.
Alternatively, bet you could easily knock something reasonable up from generic versions.
Not sure if Disco nets could work?

I have a couple of grey ones kicking around somewhere (net only), from an old donor.
 
Thanks Freddie17, seen them, and that one particularly. I’m thinking they’ll be in a similar state as mine. There’s also plenty of cargo netting to be had but the amount I need and the amount you have to buy doesn’t really make sense.
I tried sewing/haberdashery sites and the have some but it’s too fine and used for lining dresses, skirts and tutus!!

pranged it may '23 .. at a low speed.

may this year , sent it in for surgery.
bonnet, slam-panel, bumper, headlights, side panels .. replaced.
as was the cab control unit [ imobiliser etc ]
don't know what actualy killed that unit .. but it started misbehaving months before the accident.
front tortion bar , brake discs and drop links .. replaced.

radiator and intercooler survived impact .
[ 'twaz a metal bar on rear of a tipper truck ..
[ hit near top of bumper, then slid up 'n hit front of bonnet

hippo came home on tues. mot'd 'n taxed

this weekend i'll re-install an in-line thermostat.
[ that top hose got chewed up by one of the fans
[ as the fan unit got shoved back a bit .. a cm. or two.

and fit a new bonnet-deflector ..

well done repairs .. and at a minimum cost to me.
from the very start .. when Mark [owner] came to transport hippo to hospital,
i felt confident all would be well :-}

You say that it was minimum cost to you, but that lot can't have been cheap.

Many a F1 would have been crushed for less. Well done for getting it all done up :D
