OK, the old gal has rallied a bit, still very much "on the edge" but we will see what happens overnight.
Wife is expecting a similar scenario tomorrow. :(
Wife is there with the MIL, as are 2 grandchildren.
Her Son (who was told first) had not yet put in an appearance. :(
He is closer to the hospital than we are , so I am baffled.
As mentioned no battery set up on the 2005 car but 40 days without use will kill it stone dead. You mite get away with 3 weeks even then special programmes will be off until it reached full charge.
Disconnect the battery next time and lock it...
When the Golden Girl was a tad younger, and home to HQ was approx 500miles, I would leave her for 3 months or more. On coming back she would start first turn of the key. Then her runs changed to little short hops or massive drives of 10 -20...
Short journeys and lack of use...
If it's stop start vehicle then an Agm battery is a must, also a slow jump start could be their jumper pack, bad earths and a few things.
I would look into finding out if the battery management needs resetting...
Both batteries are AGM. That could still be the problem. The car doesn't have the right charging profile. Plus the car needs Decent run to charge up, not just a couple of miles
You may have to use diagnostics to tell the car the battery has been replaced, not sure on your model. AGM is not good unless the car was designed for AGM. Check the voltage at the battery with the engine idling.
i will empty the tank before fitting new gazoline
i put pure water (no glycol) in the radiator
i prime the oil pump with the drill
i give 2 rotations of the engine with a wrench
i put back the dizzy
i crank the engine and put an eye on the oil...
i think what i'm trying to say is the what-ifs.. but call me paranoid.
a fast first start is critical is critical in this case, you dont want it coughing/spluttering for a min while it warms up when you need to be bedding in a new cam.. for the...
... that the wife just got a call from the hospital.
Her Mum (who they gave a GA to yesterday to work on her leg) is now today going downhill fast and she had better get there ASAP. Not looking good at all.
Mornin
Lovely sunny morning
Making something to change oil in power steering today, two bottles, some tube etc
Off to water plants before it gets too warm
Stay cool all :)
