Went to Wix this morning to collect me noo lawn sprinkler. Not had any rain for a while and ground is getting parched. Also got some noo 5mm and 6mm HSS drill bits as the ones I have been using for the last couple of decades are now scrap.

I have an excess of soot on all plugs. I will pull all 4 tomorrow and take a picture (hopefully a decent one) to show y'all. I have a set of BPE5 plugs I could put in to see if they stay cleaner as they run hotter, but the book does say BPE6's...

I've had more than ten Minis, gave up counting I've only ever had one that ran with light brown plugs and it burned an exhaust valve out. If you're anywhere from light grey to black without soot then it'll be fine :)

Sniff your exhaust, see if it smells of petrol and try weakening the mixture a bit. and keep doing proper plug cuts until they get to the proper brown colour.
