Morning all, Kuga has a leaking gasket and now hdc sensor going mad and when I braked I heard a grinding noise on Freelander.
Loving work, just not life ATM.
Had a practice at using ma hippo to flatten down me manc cobbles yesdi. Onlt the test patch eye weeded recently. Not much diffrrence. Gorrabit enthusiastic and swept me drive after.
Do you know what the exact failure was of the previous two diffs and what bits where actually replaced?
The front axle has many components, the diff is not normally a wear item and only really fails or breaks under duress of extreme off roading...
As ^^^ what fails, or what are you told fails, could be different.
Its always nice to see pics of the 90.
Ours is lifted (40/50mm?) and owned it longer than you have and not had a diff problem, and by the sounds of it ours sees dirt more than...
CPM is an excellent indie. If you ring them they’ll be honest about their competence to do the work. If you want an instant “yes” then try ND 4x4. If you want some other options then perhaps another 90 owner here can help with a local specialist.
I haven’t used North Devon 4x4 for about 20 years but they still seem to have a good rep. My Freelander was always looked after by CPM Repairs near me. I also used Bell Engineering for transmissions - a superb small business. @andyfreelandy may...
Only replacing the diff ?? where are you buying your replacements, what about halfshafts, end caps, cv joints ect ect
You have other issues elsewhere either with worn prop/transfer box output shaft or castor camber angles or parts above.
How are...

Having set the pump running from a separate cable, summat else has gone wonky.
Before, the room stat would control the heating, as per normal, but now it's as if the boiler is no longer getting a signal, so I had to go and turn...
In other news....
After flipping around with the CH system, it would appear that the feed for the pump has gone AWOL. Lord knows why.
So it is now running on a jury rig which is working out fine. Just have to unplug it when we go to bed and the...
Ive got about 6 big happy snappers & 2 humane cages. Ive seen em chew there own legs n tails off to escape, the ones I catch alive I take to someone's house I dont like n let em go. ;)
Best thing is a snap trap or leccy zap one, or dispatched with a dog or shot. Ive had to use poison before & I hated using it and I did feel really bad as I dont like to see things suffer, FFS my misses has made me suffer for 20 odd years. 🤣🤣
My Uncle Pete caught that when canoeing on the firth n forth canal, he was 6ft 4" & quite a big chap also was really fit being a copper he went down to 6 stone  Lucky to survive it but years later developed a brain tumour & has been going...
