Well the not being able to sleep and having to have cold showers, I vaguely remember what that was like in my youuff! But yep, keeping the house cool enough to live and sleep in is an art form, especkly as we don't have hair kon.:):)

Fraid it may well be exactly that. :( Even the steam cleaner ain't shifted the very last of the stain and now there is a light coloured ring around all but one o em. At least I'll only have to do one plank for each, I think, and they ain't long ones.

Sounds like a clean n sand & re-stain or oiled. :(

25 degrees here & 23 yesterday, nice but horrible to work in. I got a wee play in the rib boat a couple of times which was superb n lovely n cool specially at 30 mph :cool: :cool: :vb-eyebrows:

If you still have your old axle, take the right halfshaft etc off it, or maybe just the hub, and swap it with the new one. See how you get on.

Guess I misplained myself! I meant too loose so that the valve sat too tight, but that prolly doesn't make much sense either. Ignore me today, As you say, for a cylinder to achieve its highest compression, the inlet has to be open early enough...
