I think a stand alone tent is a better idea too.

Ive had almost every set up, roof tents awnings every extra I could find, expedition trailers all sold but I will set up another rig
at some point. Tent wise id probably go for a canvas bell tent. One centre pole & the a frame poles some come...
The one we had as kids (so 50s 60s) I used to take my ex around Scotland when we first met. It stayed in my dad's garage until he died ('98) when we gave it to the local scout group who were amazingly grateful.
