Block mods about £60 to £100 for a small engineering company. Hoses, mine were about £20 each, my repair was less than a removal kit.

If it was me I'd take the pipe in question off and take it to a specialist pipe company, who would make one up for you for not much money. Using the same fittings. This thread may prove useful to you...

They usually leak around the engine number area, I always used to put a but of gasket stuff on that area when assembling. Water may be running along from the thermostat housing though

I could do, although taking sumps on and off TD5s is a bit tricky. In the past with another car I took the sump off and got an engineering company to drill and tap a bigger hole. The problem with that one was that the sump plug was nearly falling...
