Can you cut the nut off and replace with a lock nut? You need proper rated bolts not Chinese rubbish made from margarine, 10.9 or whatever they are.

Don't sweat it, I drove for miles with the top bolt on the nearside rear missing! I then fitted a bolt and just managed to squeeze a nut in where it needed to go. It is still there. Thinking about it, I had previously done what you did and...
