    Water leaking underneath Freelander 2

As Arctic suggests it is probably nothing to be concerned about, or you will have probably noticed. But saying that, you have what looks like a heat shield there so, possibly rubber or plastic pipes behind ? Clean the area shown and see if it spreads, check all your levels. Do the finger test...

    Central Locking

Similar issue with rear door on D2, it was the plastic clip that holds the actuator rod.

    Freelander 2 (LR2) Secure lockbox

I somewhat agree with Freddie, but, society the way it is these days, if the knives where to be stolen someone would be asking why they weren't secure ?

    Freelander 2 (LR2) Secure lockbox

Just beware of any wiring or pipe work behind panels before you start drilling.

I'm with Nodge, plenty of space around the spare wheel.

Several of the major suppliers do these for Defender so worth asking them.

    Handrake ratchet not catching

Yep, hate those electric handbrakes. I said that to the salesman when we test drove the wife's Zafira. He said, after a while you will never want to go back to manual handbrake. Well, I hate them even more now ! Especially since Mrs borrowed daughters Citroen and drove home with the handbrake...

Freelander 2 (LR2) Gear Gaiter renewal

Removing the gear lever is a case of just pulling it up and off ! But, if it was only that easy. The gator should pull down away from the knob. Then the lower part of the gear knob has two plastic prongs which grip a recess on the stick. It does pull up, but needs a firm grip and very sharp pull...

    Discovery Sport Boot / tailgate

Start as above, check boot trim all around for security and nothing is obstructing the tailgate. If any parts have been changed, start there. One point I came across recently was that the green connector had been connected the wrong way around !

No instrument indicator / warning lamps except altenator

If you really want to advance the miles, practice on the old one. You may end up with digits misaligned, then all who look will think you have tried to turn it back ? Could be you have dry joint or two in the solder, it may well be an easy fix, if you know what you doing ... 🤔 As for keeping...

No instrument indicator / warning lamps except altenator

I'm not sure you can put 12v through the Disco' circuit board without possible damage ? The later models are set up for 5Volts I believe. Check earths and connections for security and damage.

    Rounded sump plug removal Liverpool

Had a similar issue with my D2. Took it to B&B Garages Wavertree, they used some sort of socket which bit into the nut to loosen. If you can't get down there, maybe a similar socket can be bought ?

Back indicator - fuse or bulb ?

If it worked with a bit of fiddling with the bulb it would suggest the problem is at or near the holder. Check connections and earth are clean & secure. Buy a second-hand unit, or how difficult is it to remove otherside to slave on to test. Don't exclude the other lamps on that side, check they...

I've posted this elsewhere but I'm so please with myself thought I would do it again. Finally fitted the swivel gators, and insured the 2A. Renewal was £153, a comparison site got me down to £77, and. I bought through Quidco, so £36 Cash back. Result ! 😁
