1- Pos Starter Trigger from ignition switch.
2- Main Pos Power from battery.
Negative Power it gets through the body of the starter motor from the engine.

As you say more protection on rough lanes but I never had any undertrays and no issue ever occurred even with copious amounts of abuse. You could try replacing it with substitute. What about little extra sound dampening under the carpet?

Thanks folks, so I'll get a flanging tool, some copper-nickel tubing and all necessary fittings. A man needs something to do during the next winter! By the current rate, I'll do the cylinder heads myself next year!
