Hi just a quick 1, am changing the box in my p38 2.5, mine is a 99 plate and doesn't have the dipstick under bonnet but the box I have found out of 98 plate does, any one no if it will still fit in mine, found a really cheap box so am hoping so : )

Ok cheers, yea put it on diagnostic showing no faults, any tips on next move mate if it is 1 of the 2 you mentioned are they a big job to repair

Iv done the 2 services you advised me on another post changes are really smooth jus struggles to go into sum times wen cold and high rpm, starting to think new box time maybe :(

Yes mate auto, mines struggling then, could that b the same cause why it won't go into gear sumtimes inless I put my foot to the floor then it slams in

Hi, just wondering what sort if speeds people are gettin and what rpm, my rpm seems pritty high to be honest, 50 mph is around 3000 rpm on mine, any help really appreciated :smokin:

Ignore that last post have just got underneath and had a look can see what u mean now by the oil should dribble out the top overflow wen filled to correct amount, will try that first thing tomoz mornin, has any 1 ever heard that this is sum times a voltage problem, forgot to say aswel some times...

To be honest mate I took it to my local specialist so not sure, as I havnt got a dipstick is there a inspection window on side of sump to check level, when u say fill til i get a dribble from the fill hole do u mean fill right to the top, sorry mate I ain't no mechanic as u can tell lol
