1.7kph when stationary is normal. I think that this is the "slowest" speed that it can sense.
The diagnostic protocol gets cut off above a certain speed, for "health and safety" reasons.
The ABS is not actually functioning when the diagnostic...
I have the T4 disc Freelander 35, but it doesn't have (as far as I can see) the capability to get onto Freelander 1 cruise control, and I temporarily have access to a Freelander 1 with cruise control, so I need this disc quickly, if anyone knows...
Hello everyone! Finally I have good news: My Freelander is back on the road! The only problem was actually the large fuse 120A from the alternator. Nothing else broke. I had no chance to get the fuse here. That's why I had to order it. When you...
I now have this working and I believe I know what happened.
Rimmer Bros sell two sensors.
YDB500311PMAP which has a right angle connector, and which Rimmers sold me as the "outer" sensors.
YDB500301PMAP which has a straight connector, and which...
Mine did a thing a few days ago that freaked me out.
It started this thing that it would crank and fire but would only fire for half a second or so and then die.
I put it on jump leads and then it ran but it's been in the back of my mind ever...
oh, and ignition on it works
ignition on and connected to another vehicle that's running with jump leads, it works
engine running, doesn't work
It's very strange
Two more sensors arrived today from Rimmer Bros and I fitted them, so now all four sensors are new.
The thing is, with ignition on but engine not running, the system sort of works, but the middle ones do sod all.
I believe that the alternator is connected to the battery via a 150 amp "maxi fuse". Maybe that fuse has blown?
To me this also sounds like a battery problem. A wrench shorting the alternator wire to ground would be an absolutely massive...
There's a couple of outstanding things that I would value peoples opinions on.
1. Because the engine is now maybe 30mm higher than stock, I had to extend the downpipe a bit so that it would clear the transmission. However maybe I didn't quite...
The factory parking sensors on our our Freelander 1 were not working.
I could only hear a ticking noise from two of them so ordered two replacements.
I have now fitted the two new sensor but now the reversing sensors work if the engine isn't...
Here it is for a facelift. Power comes from position "1" on the ignition barrel (I don't know what that means), through F6, through the inhibit switch on the transmission, and in to the immobiliser.
If the vehicle starts then it's probably working.
Today I got the hill descent working it wasn't anything complicated. It seems to work with either the original 1.8 cluster or with the 2.5 cluster that I have.
I had unpinned the power feed from the plug that goes into the interior fuse box...
On a 2005 the remote fob just does the central locking and alarm.
The immobiliser is a completely different system consisting of a chip in the key that communicates with a Sawdoc immobiliser ECU via the coil on the ignition barrel.
You can buy a...
I don't have a mod policy at the moment so I can't answer that. I just have standard Admiral multicar with some leniency added by their retentions people.
