Hooray the wipers are working correctly now! Thanks Tim 4x4, it was the park ramp as you suggested. Who'd have thought that Craddocks would send me a Left Hand Drive windscreen wiper motor drive cog??!!!

Thanks. Yes I replaced the drive cog, the old one has missing teeth. I didn't know there was a specific position for it but that makes perfect sense now.

I cut back the outer flexible wiring loom cover from the injector loom plug to the point where it swan necks up to be attached to the corner of the rocker cover and there was no hint of oil, similarly where the wires exit the loom to go into the red plug it is complete free from oil.
