Its a shame the diffs on all models are only rated to 50hp :vb-groan2:

I did mine on a two poster, split tfer box off gearbox, biggest arse was some bracket on top of the flywheel/gearbox housing, car did have rear a/c which might have had something to do with it.

Have you physically looked in the wheel arch to see if the air suspension ride height sensor and the abs sensor plugs and wiring are all okay? You really need the fault codes before you go any further. Agree with Tilly, back to the original...

Would start on three and smoke like a trooper, then might take 5 Or 50 miles for the non working cylinder to start running again, sometimes remove filter and fill with cleaner would get it going sooner, in the end fitted one of my spare...

Veg oil did my 200 pump in, I did not use the veg oil it was previous owner, would randomly lose a cylinder and then come back in miles later.

yep easier for the disco arm. Easier to change TRE. Get the kit so you can put new steering tubes & RTC shock back on.

Not very often, and they are a pain to fit. Also often find the splines are worn anyway. Best off replacing the whole arm which isn't too expensive or converting to a Discovery type drop arm and drag link.

If you choose the top selection ^^^^ you will need a big socket and possibly a puller. Choose a lower selection and you may need some clamps and patience, cos getting that bottom plate in and the circlip is fun. I went the middle option and...

Thanks very much. I figured this out earlier, not sure how I hadn’t seen that they fully release. I have to say it’s made a pretty dramatic difference having the new filter in there so a good, simple, modification 👍👌🏼. Thanks for your help !!

That was my first thought. My sort of simple bracket is a bit of flat bar hammered over in the vice.

Iirc pedal height is set via the bolt on top front of the steering box, assuming your car has it, the nut you are adjusting is the master cylinder freeplay which only needs a small clearance. So if you have the pedal bolt, adjust that first, then...

Looks like the belt is ETC7469 which seems to translate to 10x605.

Made a simple bracket, that mate is a work of art:)

Most v belts are either 3/8 10mm wide, or 1/2 inch 13mm wide, you want the 3/8 10mm wide version, so all you need is the length is normally printed on the belt, for example 10x 765 meaning 10mm x 765mm length.

Loudly crying, if you try it. You will be deaf and Plod will give you a ticket. Straight through suits a turbocharged unit because the exhaust gas as it passes through the turbo gets smoothed out resulting in less of a bang.

If they are the same as the 200tdi, you just ping them up and the buckle releases. This video shows the set up, no a/c though as that will be a super rare option in the UK.
