Do not undo the big bolts as they are the cylinder head bolts. Looks to me like there are over centre catches which allows the filter housing to be removed.

I have never considered a smooth belt. Will go and have a look what I can find. I have tried serrated bolts and washers but made no difference hence looking at other options. I will take some measurements and buy one of the turnbuckles along...

Only ever used smooth ones. Even in the series. They seem to bit in the pulley more.

My father in law swore blind that the smooth v belts were better and longer lasting than the toothed style, so maybe worth getting one and trying? Have to say even with my 200tdi defender, the pas steering belt and alt belt tension was also a...

Discovery 200tdi are well known for that top smaller belt wearing the sides of the belt away and going slack. I would have been impressed if mine lasted 3 mths between belt adjustments.

I buy quite a few Halfords batteries as they can be very reasonable with the trade discount, never had one fail. And they come with decent guarantee. If you have a card, apparently Costco are good also.

If you can all remember 15/20 years ago, if someone had their front fogs on they would get flashed by everyone, now if people have their front fogs on, nobody and I mean nobody flashes them anymore or seems to notice.

They are great on perfectly flat roads. As soon as there's any undulation/gradient then the cutoff point from the incoming vehicle rises above your eyes level and you're blinded as you look directly into the arc of the HID

The constructio The construction and use regs used to limit headlight output by wattage. With HID and now LED, the light output has gone through the roof as the wattage limit is no longer relevant. There are thousands of complaints about these...

What you have there is a set of series door handle units and Yes they can not be locked from the inside, at least the drivers could not. On the passenger side where that hole is near the handle there would have been push in pin like the series 2...
