Surely this is beginning to become grounds for complaint. Have you contacted the PALS at the hospital, or at the trust if it run by one?

Yup the bearing has had it, got a replacement box/tranny with new handbrake kit & newish drum.
tis very cluncky when turning it by hand. (the old one that is)
