Had it recently.
I did the pair, then had to take one back off (the unbroken side) trying to track down a new knock when I replaced them. It’s currently got 1 new side and 1 original side on, with no discernible difference. I have the other ‘new’ side ready to refit when I get to it.

Just switch a bulb yourself from the other side and see what effect it has…
(Unscrew the lens and the holder will twist out to expose the bulb)

As Arctic says… check the bulb/s first.
The double-time flashing shows there is a problem. Normally it’s a blown bulb. If the bulbs are proven working, then check/clean the bulb holder and try again.
If none of that works, it potentially could be the relay or a wiring fault, but try the first 2...

Yuasa are quire a respected brand and I've used them on both my FL1 and FL2.
Do not buy 'cheap' - the FL is a power-hungry car and needs a heavy-duty battery

Looking at your first picture, I’m guessing you mean how do you get inside the tailgate?
If so, the panel is only held on by clips… you ‘pull’ it off carefully using a trim tool (there are about 6 or 8 if I remember correctly). Then you lift it up and off - there are some more clips in the panel...
