When you say “it’s a disaster waiting to happen”, do you mean your FL going bang, or doing more damage? Because that’s what will happen if you keep ignoring it.
You’ll find most modern cars go into a limp-mode when a problem is detected, not just a FL2.

The lead is much longer on my FL2

Recalibrate it first…
With the tailgate closed, disconnect the battery, then reconnect it. The tail window will drop down. Then switch on ignition and raise the window all the way to the top using the button in the car. Release the button - window should now be calibrated.

I’m guessing one of those leads sticking out the side of the unit plugs into the 3.5mm ‘line in’, by the handbrake.
I have a small usb player plugged into mine, so can play memory sticks full of my tunes through the car sound system.
My phone just connects to the hands-free in the car for calls.

Just checking in, with another coffee. Plenty of ignoring going on today.
Off to tidy my garage in a minute, so will ignore from there too.

Hi and welcome.
Pictures! We need pictures!

Good point - I’d completely forgotten about that rule.
If @MGT doesn’t come forward with a valid explanation soon, I may well sue for $10 billion a medium-sized Fruit & Nut
