Took her for a little run out.Stopped at the beach to carry dog down to wet sand for some rehab. Left her running as I jumped out. I kept hearing a creaking noise from somewhere near the rear. So had a look. It sounded like the creaking of an old...
First time reversing down the dark drive 6.30am this morning and...wow..bloody brilliant, so much better and safer.

Hi, I recently brought home a 1995 P38 2.5 diesel, taken from an old gentleman in my town for little money. The car had engine problems, arrived home by truck. A picture of the negotiation, concluded at €1000 (approximately £830).
I immediately...
Well i got the body fuse junction box controller out from behind the glove box.
Pretty sure this car will never. ever
run. again.
At least not without some unholy rituals!!.
I also think i need to start smoking some magic jellybeans because...
I used genuine ones from LR, £9 the pair, pricey but I wasn't risking it.
Wiped out the ports with toilet paper and wire wooled the pipe ends rotational. Bit of spit for lube.
The minute you sell, you know what will happen.

You can buy a nissens matrix that has the 19mm outlets for a better job but more expensive.
I got one with the 19mm because I thought my seals had gone again but it was just a loose bolt.
Mines still on the shelf in the workshop. In two minds as...
Rear is a Salisbury so that's good.
id is on the top axle tube if I recall but it's been a while and it's hard to see without wire brushing the cack off.
Windscreen and under the roof rail inserts. Windscreen side trims off, top screen trim off, roof rail inserts off and reseal the screen and, usually, just the front roof rail 'groove'. Sealant cracks there.
When I was young around 1981 I worked in a factory that made under bonnet insulation panels for cars and lorries. All of them were made using damp resin fibreglass and cloth and hot pressed to mould them. I suspect they are all made from those...
In fairness , possibly it will reappear as I didn't go for a run last night as the wife got a lift home from a work mate. So I only switched ign on, selected reverse, took a pic, ign off, didn't start the engine at all. Possibly that had...
OK, it was not clear from the photo that you had 2 sockets, that is the 7S socket also useful for charging the battery via pins 4 & 3. I am surprised that you no longer have the bulb fail message.
I've had the reverse light failure message for so long I don't even notice it anymore. I figured the wiring could take it but if I (or someone else afterwards) ever put an original bulbs back it might not so best fit a relay for the extra lamp.
I've got 2 sockets, the one in the pic with the white cover is the one I used. I 'believe ' that is the older version of twin sockets when wanting to tow a caravan, run a fridge. I think nowadays that a single socket is used with 13(?) Pins to do...
The bulb blown message has now gone as the load of the new light together with the LED's in the tail lights is now sufficient for the BECM to think the bulbs are OK. I'm a bit surprised that you have a reversing light connection if that is a 7...
