Cheers@andyfreelandy
Was going to take it off today and clean it before buying new parts but it's way too cold 😁
-
Thanks @Alibro
Funny thing is yesterday I removed the cowl from around the steering wheel and with wipers on they now work on speed 1&2 if I fiddle with the wiring also the quick wipe now and again so I will check the wiring & stalk again today maybe just needs a good clean
-
Thanks @ Nodge68
I'm not up on the repairing side of electrical motors so I will purchase a new motor and cross that off my mounting list of faults 😪

My freelander facelift td4 has developed a problem with the wipers
On position 1 they go up but won't go back down
Position 2 will work OK but if I turn off they don't return
Also same on quick wipe goes up but won't return
Just wanting a bit of help before wasting money on items not needed...

All sorted out , I was reading some old post regarding the heater issues o the freelander and came across a post from @santefe999 who had a issue with the wire connection for the heater near the clutch pedal , low and behold mine had come loose cleaned and put back on now working fine on all...

@Nodge68 ,
They just said check motor but at the moment the weather is not playing ball it's ridiculous 😡
-
Cheers, I've been told it cant be the resistor at fault because none of the settings are working and usually 1 setting will still work if the resistor is caput
-
Can the heater motor be removed without taking the full heater housing out ,
-
Thanks @ nodge68
I will have to go through it when rain stops see what I can come up with
-
Not been on for a long time but just bought another facelift td4 with some small faults just wondering if
anyone has any idea or experience with faulty heater control it was working fine on1 to 4 setting and now nothing, fuses are fine but also can hear a clicking noise behind bottom of centre...
