If your phone is backed up to the cloud the process is easy because you synchronise using google. Or, you can use Myphone Explorer (free software) to create a full back up and then use the same software on the new phone to restore from your PC...

Laborious but writing down all contacts and re-entering them on a different phone guarantees data integrity unless you make a mistake... plus you've got a record of them if the phone breaks/SIM gets corrupted etc.
