The more you pay and thicker it is the better it is, maybe! I don't think the difference between the makes is significant, more like we THINK it's better because it's more expensive so must be better. Up to you how much money you want to spend.

2+ shocks this used to happen to my son's Ninety when laning. Standard length shocks and it isn't a problem.

Learning to drive must be a breeze nowadays. My Golf has an electric motor on each brake caliper to apply the handbrake. Sure it will be considerably more expensive to fix than adjusting or replacing a cable.

Do you mean the side cappings that you have already removed or the other section? The other section are welded on but you could rivet and glue them on, or even just glue them on.

When I did my son's panhard bushes I used some poly bushes and new bolts. Following week I fitted oem bushes, the poly bushes were a waste of time, you could see the axle moving from side to side.

That's me! Seems like I forgot to update it. The drop arm, once off, was indeed knackered, the ball joint was both stiff and loose, if that even possible! Changed that and replaced the worse than useless Britpart steering damper which had been on there a couple of years. I fitted a TF damper...

My son's has always done it. Strangely it also does it when overtaking cyclists 🤣
