I have tried three different timing cases and they all fit and measure up the same, injection pump gear is not quite in alignment, I can't see they all can be wrong.
Injection pump is newly rebuilt but can't really see how it could be wrong...
Fitted a new 2nd hand striker for the passenger door, closes like a Rolls Royce, ok not quite but better.
Replaced the top hinge on the rear end door with a new 2nd hand part, that closes better now also.

If the diff flange is worn then the seal won't seal against it. Also the seal is different depending on what mud shield your flange has.
I am presuming the diff is the same as a Defender, if not ignore me.

Crank gear can't be in the wrong place and cam gear can't be wrong. That leaves the injection pump which has a gasket (although I can't see that makes a difference) and also has the pump rear support bracket. So...
With a lack of a straight edge I have used the back edge of a hacksaw blade (don't laugh). They all seem to be in alignment, level with each other.
Warranty claim has gone in, let's see what happens.
