Battery replacement. Total arse of a job on the 322 4.4 tdv8.

Back in L322 ownership with a 2010 Autobiography

Plenty of us TDV8 owners use them without issue. And yes, you need diagnostics to tell it there is a new battery as it adapts the charging rates (and other stuff). GapIID is the jobbie.

Back in L322 ownership with a 2010 Autobiography

Yeah, generally though it is specified more recently from LR (and many owners) that the 2010-2012 4.4 tdv8 should be run with an AGM

Back in L322 ownership with a 2010 Autobiography

I've just ordered a new one for mine. Get a good AGM 019 - Bosch seem to be the cheapest at the mo from batterymegastore

    LATEST NEWS REGARDING "TOMCAT" ALAN

Mate, you're the only person to have sent me something out the blue and goodness of the heart. I've since been doing it a lot for many, many others. As far as I'm concerned, you can't go anywhere until I've returned the favour and I'm nowhere near ready to do that. Get them hoes lined up!

2 new CVD dampers on the rear and a brake shield. Not cheap but she definitely feels better!

    4.4 Tdv8 fuel economy

Real world on my 4.4 tdv8. Short 10 minute journeys, awful, like most diesel cars. I'm averaging 25ish with general driving into and out of town, pottering about. Longer journeys it sits at 28-30 quite happily with a slightly heavy foot. If I ease off and stay 'sensible' then it's...

    any computer geeks on here?

These days, Windows apps will automatically fire up in Wine anyway. Using a custom window manager and it'll just be like running Windows but a lot more stable and use able ;)

Gearbox megaflushed... fluid change in transfer box and both diffs.. and an engine oil change! Feels and sounds... absolutely no different.. but maintenance is key!

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I was weary of getting the L322 due to varying opinions of it vs the P38. I do think, overall, its a much nicer vehicle to be in and drive but there's definitely a loss of utility with the l322. Same applies with the 405 too, I guess.

That's hardly surprising. Post history and original newbie posts say everything tbh.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Yeah, in hindsight, it should have been another 1k on top. Possibly more. Also gave a pile of spares and a *full* (and I mean everything) unopened set of liquids/fluids unopened to do a service (engine, diff, gearbox oil, etc).
