    D2 - 2004 Interesting wheel alingnment issue......

Both sets of wheels were genuine D2 alloys. The original tyres on the 16"s were standard 235/70/16, no issues with tram lining..... Later replaced with 265/70/16 again no issues, the 18"s were the standard 255/55/18 with a very good set of Wrangler HP tyres on and it was awful at tram lining.

    D2 - 2004 Interesting wheel alingnment issue......

On my old '99 D2 It had 16"s on it when purchased, no issues with tram lining, when I purchased a newer D2 (it had 18"s on as standard) my Father purchased my old one from me. I wanted 16"s for some MT tyres so swapped the wheels over. The '99 D2 tram lined horrendously with the 18"s on. So...

L322 Time to fix my starting problems

Remove EGR valve and replace with blanking kit like this; https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RANGE-ROVER-L322-3-0-TD6-EGR-DELETE-VALVE-REMOVAL-KIT-BLANKING-PERFORMANCE-MPG/152246315385?hash=item2372966979:g:WfYAAOSwUP5a9G-4 On early TD6's you won't get any warnings on dash if you remove, it may just...

L322 What did you do to your l322

Smart looking that box  Is it genuine LR or you just put that sticker on it?

    L322 TD6 HDC Inactive

Quite common on early cars, the warning just to flash up quickly on startup then disappear immediately. It doesn't affect anything and the HDC still works....as stated often a slight drop in voltage sets it off. Mine does it 50% of the time, (I've had it 6 yrs and on its second battery) the...

    L322 Air suspension

To re-calibrate the air suspension, you will need diagnostics. The Saint had posted a measurement chart/diagram somewhere on here a while back for the L322 air suspension setup, with different sized factory wheels on etc. I'm sure Ant will point you in the right direction ;)

    L322 Gearbox service 3.0

Texamatic 7045E is the correct oil for the GM box. Ensure the filler plug on the gearbox will remove BEFORE draining the sump. Mine was very, very tight I had to remove the front prop to get a 6 sided socket/ratchet on it to remove it. HTH

    D3 duff advise?

I was/am keeping my eye out for a D3 if the right one comes about. I however, refuse to pay the £500+ RFL so am looking out for a pre March 06. The cambelt is at the front, the rear is the fuel pump belt. If it goes, not catostrophic damage but will cause a breakdown. IMO good practice is to...

L322 Changing of leather seats colour

Yes I take your point, irritating thing is there is nothing wrong with my seats APART FROM THE COLOUR!! :p (all leccies/heated/ bells and whistles work) with minimal wear on the driver's seat, it's better than most I see for sale. But it has been cherished  What on earth would you want...

L322 Changing of leather seats colour

Hi all, Bit of a unusual question....seriously considering changing my interior seats to a set of cream leather ones (don't ask why, always wanted the cream leather.... Yes I should of bought one with it 5 years ago!) Car is a 2002 in Java black with dark grey leather, with matching door...

    L322 Td6 remap

Depending on what type map the OP is having, it could well reduce fuel consumption a little if driven very 'sensibly' and taking advantage of the extra torque. (At the gearbox's expense of course) Boot it about and it will use more fuel than it did before, as those 6 injectors are going to...

    Performance issues L322 TD6 2005

When did it last get serviced? Fuel filter blocked? Secondary fuel pump on its way out? Get someone to switch ignition on whilst you listen underneath just in front of the near side rear wheel, they usually get very noisey and sound rough as nails when they are on their way out.

    Shall I scrap it?

Hi Mr Glossy and welcome to RR ownership. As Keith said above ^^^ not the most reliable things in the world, however you can also be very lucky or unlucky with them... What exactly is wrong with the steering?? How much did you pay for her if you don't mind my asking, mileage etc?

    Sport Time to polish

+1 for " Meguiars ultimate compound " Recently used it on my Chimaera, was brilliant, very impressed. Used an old turtle wax polish after which did a very nice job, but will be sure to purchase the Meguiars ultimate polish. I don't use machines, just microfibre clothes. You P38 has come up...

Sport Range Rover sport dreaded EPB error

You should use the EPB, it's designed to hold the weight of the car. Ever heard the expression "use it or loose it"? Here's what "Holds" the car when in park..... The park brake AKA handbrake is designed to hold the weight of the car when parked....the gearbox is designed to do...

L322 air susp inactive and hdc inactive!

    1) you will need to get the car on diagnostics to see what fault(s) are logged. Otherwise you are looking for a needle in a haystack. 2). I would start by checking for damp in the rear quarter panels in the boot where all the electronics live. Did you follow correct procedure and let the sat...

How do I re-instate the ACE system if it's been disabled?

The correct way to completely remove the ACE system would be to remove the ACE pump and replace with an idler pulley, new Aux belt....... Replace the ACE Anti-roll bar Rams with traditional anti-roll bars and new drop links (IIRC the drop links are different lenghs) remove all the ACE pipe work...

    2004 TDV6, low mileage. Should i buy??

    It's a TD6 not TDV6, they don't have cam belts they are chain driven and early L322 didn't have EPB's either ;)

    2004 TDV6, low mileage. Should i buy??

If it's a 2004 L322 it's a TD6 NOT TDV6 as Brian says. You could be lucky or unlucky with it. As already stated, gearboxes are the weak point with the TD6 mated with the GM box. The gearbox could go pop after 2k miles.....it could be fine for 60k miles. Depends how it's been driven, serviced...
