Hi All,
Wonder if anyone can help with a performance issue on my 05 plate L322 TD6. (180K miles)
I was driving on a motorway when all of a sudden, I lost power, engine wouldn't rev over 3K, the speed dropped to 50mph and generally felt sluggish. After a while it cured itself and ran normally for a few weeks however, it now seems sluggish whenever i take it out. It feels like its in some kind of restricted mode although there are no warning lights or messages on the dash. No smoking from the exhaust so not intercooler, I've replaced the ERG valve (with a delete kit), no change. took it to my local Independent Landie garage who hooked it up to diagnostics but couldn't get any engine management codes out of it. They thought it gearbox related but couldn't help any further. I did the gearbox reset procedure but again, didn't fix the issue. - any thoughts or ideas gratefully received.

Sounds like it's going into Limp Mode. Lots of possible causes which should show up on diagnostics. It maybe that your independent landie garage does not have the right diagnostics.

Sticking Vanes in the turbo is rife on the 3.0

Chack to make sure the actuator arm is moving on the turbo.

When did it last get serviced? Fuel filter blocked? Secondary fuel pump on its way out?
Get someone to switch ignition on whilst you listen underneath just in front of the near side rear wheel, they usually get very noisey and sound rough as nails when they are on their way out.
