Surely bigger tyres would show lower speed as the distance travelled per revolution on the tyre would be further.

Not nececerily, galv needs clean rust free steel to chemicly adhere to. Acid does remove rust if left in long enough but doesn't remove grease oil and paint, OK you can dip twice, this burns off the oil etc but then need re dipping in the acid to remove any galv first time round. Galv plants...

At up cocker, yo don't let the grass grow lol. Is this one gonna be a fully galved build lol. Got more of your bits galved mate. There just some brackets left to do. I'll pop em over in a couple of weeks.

Is the lock mechanism britpart? Best throw it away now to save time fitting a proper one if it is.

Paddocks do the channel cheap as chips, same channel as you'd buy for series windows, bout a tenner a side.

Mines a britpart cheapie, but I know how crap the paint is on sh1tparts so I galved mine one afternoon when I had newt better to do.

I've got a press brake rear cross member without any holes and a swing away wheel carrier. If I remember correctly the top bracket is fixed through an existing rivet, ie you drill through the rivet. Line up the top, mark out the bottom and drill the ctossmember.

Rear quarter light, 10 mins to put back in piece of ****, taking rear door hinges off? More likely to do damage to the door hinges and lock mech. Even if you do smash the glass its only a couple of quid to replace, stop buggering about and push in the window lol.

At up cocker, how's the rebuild going? I've got a rear axle if you fancy blasting it for me lol. Would be nice to pop over and see how the builds going, cheers.
