    P38A Wheel size's.

Hi, 16s or 18s are the correct sizes for the P38 but many do run on 19s as do I.

Other I respect all your opinions....

You say in your thread that you are going to keep the Beemer as its not worth much and it is your back up vehicle, I would sell the 110 and the l332 and with the cash buy yourself the latest, low mileage P38 that you can find, it's a good family car just in case your family grows plus it's a lot...

    L322 rear air bags

Peice of cake to do bags, there is a how to guide at the top of the home page, order yourself some new retaining clips too, they are cheap and you WILL probably need them. Done my front and rear bags in around 3 hours and that's with battling with the rears cos they tend to get stuck after a few...

    Lacquer peel.

Hi everyone, bit cheesed of at the mo, gave the old girl a good wash yesterday an whilst cleaning the roof noticed some lacquer peel by the edge of the sunroof, it is about the size of a tennis ball, question is can it just be a local repair or do I have to get the whole roof redone. Any body...

P38A Thor Inlet manifold missing hose.

If memory serves me correctly, the plastic nipple has a hose connected to it that runs to the drivers side rocker cover and the other plastic plug next to it is just a blanking plug, I am giving mine a wash this morning so will have a look for you then report back.

P38A Best AirBags - About to ditch the Coils

Hi, well done for putting your Rangey back on air, I once drove one on coils and found it an awfull drive so walked away from it. Don't want to stress you out even more but there is another thing to check whilst putting it right, behind the kick plate in the passenger side footwell are a couple...

P38A Best AirBags - About to ditch the Coils

Dunlops, excellent smooth ride and also cheaper. I think I can speak for most people regarding new bags, they all seem to plump for dunlops. When I changed my bags the ones that were fitted were the originals, they lasted 100 thousand miles , so I think it's safe to say they will last you long...

    P38A TB Heater bypass

You could bypass that way , I preferred to remove the plate and pipe work just so it looks neater plus less places to leak from.

    P38A TB Heater bypass

Just by passed my TB heater last week, mine too would not stop leaking, tried every sealant going but after 3 new plates I have given up. Dead easy to do ,behind the Air con commpresor is a coolant nipple where one of the TB heater plate pipes comes from, just move commpresor out of the way then...

    Annoying drip.

Did the bypass today, not wasting any more money on those crappy plates, just ran a hose straight from the nipple on the inlet manifold to the header tank, job done . Suppose it's one less place to leak from. V8 purred lovely after with no idle issues.

    Annoying drip.

Thanks for that idea, I take it the small hammer is to straighten the plate? I will get some gasket paper and give it a try.

    Annoying drip.

Yes, noticed you are having same problem, all hoses are new, I replaced the smaller coolant pipes for silicon hoses.

    Annoying drip.

Hi everyone, Have yet another annoying drip from the throttle body heater plate, this will be the 3rd plate that needs changing in the space of a few months. Once I change it all will be well for a couple of months then it begins to drip again, have tried hylomar sealant and also silicon...
