offside rear is on its bump stops so ive ordered new bags for both sides, rave describes it but has anyone done bags before and any pitfalls? advise appreciated

not done them but supposed to be quite easy to do, circle at the top bolt at the bottom. i think i mine may need attention this year

Peice of cake to do bags, there is a how to guide at the top of the home page, order yourself some new retaining clips too, they are cheap and you WILL probably need them. Done my front and rear bags in around 3 hours and that's with battling with the rears cos they tend to get stuck after a few years, get yourself a good size crowbar too, helped getting my ones out.

are you talking about P38 as the thread is about a L322 i think

new air bags arrived, so jacked, up axle stands in, wheel off and ready to go armed with crowbar chisels lump hammer 2 tins of plusgas. only to find that the bags are fine! in fact excellent condition for 12 years old. the culprit is the height sensor and had snapped fell apart and corroded. so i called the supplier and asked if i could return the bags. no problem he said just send them back (paddock spares). i said while your on can i order a new height sensor for the rear off side (l322 4.4 2004) he asked if i had xenon headlights as it makes a difference as the off side front and rear height sensors control the xenon light leveling.when i said that is the one he gave me the part no RQH000091 then said however that part is only available from the main dealers. i said hang on as i typed the part no into google and most advertised it. however when i tried to order it from others it said the part no was super seeded to #RQH100030 he said be aware of this as that is the part no for the near side rear and disco 2 and will not work with xenon lights. hope this might help someone if they ever need a rear height sensor for the off side (xenon lights l322)
